I recently had surgery at the Renate Clinic in Turkey this summer, and I cannot express how grateful I am for the experience. Before my trip, I was extremely nervous about my decision, but everything changed once I arrived. The staff was incredibly helpful and guided me through each step of the process, which eased my anxiety. Dr. Yazgan was thorough and went over every aspect of the surgery beforehand, addressing all my concerns. I underwent the Renate lift; despite being only 31 years old, I wanted to enhance my self-esteem, and the results have certainly helped. The recovery hospital was immaculate and felt more like a hotel than a medical facility. I highly recommend anyone considering surgery in Turkey to choose the Renate Clinic. Their professionalism and care made all the difference in my journey!

I am a few days shy of 4 weeks post op and I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Yazgan and his amazing staff at Renate Clinic. Coming from the United States I started my convo with Renate clinic back in January 2025. This is when I virtually met Aylin through WhatsApp. Literally for several months Aylin was very patient with all of my questions and concerns. I then had an online consultation with Dr. Yazgan who was so informative. He listened to exactly what I was hoping for and explained everything in detail. I knew once our convo was over, he was going to be my doctor. After my arrival in Turkey I had the pleasure of meeting Aylin, Dr. Yazgan and the wonderful Seray in person. Dr. Yazgan again explained everything in detail. He was very honest with expectations and what I needed. I was never upsold to anything additional, in fact he actually declined additional stuff I asked for because it wasn't necessary. I always felt safe and cared for. Seray was with me for every appointment before and after surgery and she was truly great. I absolutely loved my whole experience. I would recommend Dr. Yazgan and Renate clinic 100 times over! I know I am still in recovery, but I can say that I am very happy so far. I know any surgery can be scary but I can definitely say you will be in good hands with Dr. Yazgan and his team. 💕

I want to share my horrifying experience with this clinic so that other patients know the truth. What happened to me here was not just negligence, it was a complete violation of patient rights, international medical standards, and basic human decency. I woke up after my surgery in extreme pain because I was left without any pain management. The pain was so unbearable that I genuinely thought I was going to die there in that bed. I tried desperately to scream for help but I couldn’t because the breathing tube used during surgery had caused temporary voice loss. My feet were strapped to the bed, so I could not get up to ask for help. And the call button was broken. I was completely abandoned in my bed, awake, in extreme pain, with no way to reach staff for urgent help. A broken call system in a surgical recovery area is a grave patient safety issue. Hospitals are obligated to test and guarantee that call systems function at all times. I was left without any pain medication for a long time. Standard medical practice requires IV pain management immediately after surgery but Instead, I was left to suffer. To make matters worse, staff were also smoking inside the hospital!! The cigarette smoke, mixed with the nausea I already had from anesthesia, made me violently ill. Post-anesthesia nausea is already dangerous; smoke exposure made it far worse and directly triggered vomiting, which carries serious risks after surgery (aspiration, wound strain, dehydration). This is not only about aesthetics. Patient safety and proper medical care cannot be overlooked under any circumstance. After invasive surgery, patients are always given pain medication immediately, even before waking up so they don’t suffer sudden, unbearable pain. Severe uncontrolled pain can cause shock, PTSD & emotional trauma, exactly what I am experiencing now. Allowing a patient to wake up in unbearable pain without pain control is a serious failure in duty of care. What I went through was traumatic beyond words. To be conscious, in such agony, unable to get up, unable to call for help, and abandoned without care, is something I will never forget. It caused me severe physical suffering and deep psychological trauma. When I later confronted the clinic about this, their response was dismissive and gaslighting. They told me that I imagined all of it because I was under the effects of anesthesia, that it was "impossible," or that I "didn't feel the full effect of the medication." This is insulting and unacceptable. How could I have felt medication that I was never given? Pills cannot be taken at that stage, and I had no IV until much later. Their explanation makes no medical sense and only shows their refusal to take responsibility. International medical standards that were violated in my case: • Immediate post-operative pain management is required. I received none until much later. • Functioning patient call systems must be available at all times. My call button was broken. • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside hospitals. Yet staff smoked inside, directly harming my recovery. I am writing this review because what happened to me should never happen to anyone else. Patients deserve safety, dignity, and proper care, not suffering, neglect, and denial. Update (Response to the clinic’s comment): I’m aware that medical compression devices are standard during surgery, but I’m referring to the fact that AFTER surgery I was still unable to get up or alert anyone. Whether the restraint was medical or not is irrelevant, what matters is that I was left completely helpless, without supervision or pain control for a prolonged period, and with no way to call for help. I only received IV pain medication much later, after begging for help for a long time. If nurses were “supervising,” they failed gravely. I’m aware hospitals have smoke detectors, but cigarette smoke doesn’t always trigger them, especially in older buildings like the one I was in. The smell was very strong in my room, whether an alarm went off or not. I have no reason to lie or exaggerate my experience.

Re-writing my review since their teams seem to keep removing my review. I had septorhinoplasty at this clinic. Unfortunately, prior to my surgery with Dr. Yazgan. The following information was not disclosed: - The use of grafts or the possibility of using them. Also: - Doctor advised that I can go back to dancing at 6 weeks. The doctor assured me that he understands my request. However, the result didn't reflect my expectations at all. During our consultation I emphasized to the doctor that I like my face and I'm willing to not do surgery and we can do botox and fillers instead and pass on the surgery cause I don't want a big change. I had a minor jump that resulted from a bike accident and was hoping I can make my nose straight again since it I didn't like the way it looked from one specific angle in dance photos and shared with him the angle & we agreed that it would be a straight nose & no major changes. The doctor attempted to convince me to lift the tip, I told him I like my tip, it's shape, it's position especially when I smile & I don't want to change. Instead of being transparent about the use of grafts and the changes he envisioned for my nose I was told "I'll have to bring it to the natural line, I won't lift it and after the surgery it'll drop" - I asked, if it'll drop to where it is & it was confirmed "Yes”. During the brief consult it was proposed I receive a Renate lift that I declined since I was 35 yrs and looked good. The days after the surgery I was crying and screaming when I saw my table photos, took me days to be able to talk since I lost my voice. When I confronted the doctor that the nose looks so small and short, he said with a smile "your nose was too long for your face" - I was disarmed with how calm and smiling he was, but it didn't feel right. I was panicking till cast removal, cast removal day my nose was so swollen and big, I was just grateful at this point I had a nose and figured maybe when the swelling goes down it'll look normal and better and maybe the table photo is not an accurate representation of the end result cause that was read in all the Facebook groups. However, months later when the swelling was gone, I was in shock in how much my nose was reduced I consulted with over 15 doctors to get it fixed and have a normal adult nose back since my nasal pyramid was not just narrowed but also FILED. I sent the Dr. an audio recording from Professor Dr. Yazar who said I have a pollybeak deformity due to the fact that my cartilage was over resected and my nose over-reduced. Unfortunately, the doctor's response was to gaslight me to believe that I asked for this type of nose which is untrue. I even found by coincidence from Seray months later that my tip is still hard cause he inserted a graft in my nose that he never told me about. Unfortunately, no responsibility was taken towards the psychological and physical damage I experienced, the doctor try to blame the result on the fact that I got hit 8 weeks after surgery which didn't change anything to the result, in fact it was so minor that at the time he suggested the use of filler. My issues started when most of the swelling was gone 6 months later and I saw how small and shaved my nose was. No clinic or doctor is exempt from making a mistake, people are people, we're human. However, what I found unacceptable was the lack of transparency prior to the surgery about what to expect, not taking responsibility or being accountable for the psychological and physical damage caused during the surgery, being mocked and hung up on by his assistant for expressing my concerns, receiving a threatening email from him to remove my reviews, I felt that I was not treated with honour or integrity at this clinic.

Rhinoplasty results take up to 12 months for results to show since there’s a lot of swelling in the first 6-8 months especially if it was a big surgery like mine 5 hours with multiple grafts and lots of reduction, instead of 2 hours. So if anyone tells you, you were happy with your results the first 2-3 months they’re not being honest (Google it or check it on ChatGPT), cause the volume you see, and the results you see are misleading and not the final results it’s swelling waiting to subside and any doctor would confirm that true results of rhinoplasty show after 1 year when the swelling and oedema is gone and continue to change for years after. To use a statement as “you were happy with your results” based on the fact I was happy had lots of volume that was misleading, is truly an underestimation of patient intelligence, and a clear indication of manipulating facts. I would happily have a revision with the same surgeon and pay for it, assuming they displayed enough integrity in the process to enable me to trust them again, however, manipulation of facts and telling partial truths out of context to evade responsibility is not an indication of trust.
