Hair Transplant Experience I underwent a hair transplant procedure at this clinic’s branch in Cancun, Mexico. As of now, it's been almost 2 years since the operation. Below, I’ll outline the pros and cons, followed by a general summary of my experience. --- Pros: The transplant team is friendly and welcoming. The manager of the Cancun office is also a kind person. They handle your transportation between the airport, hotel, and clinic. If they extract extra grafts from the donor area during the procedure, they don’t charge additional fees for implanting them. The staff frequently checks on your well-being during the procedure and ensures you get periodic breaks. --- Cons: 1. Hairline Issues: The work on my hairline was extremely amateurish. They implanted single hairs roughly 0.5–1 cm ahead of the dense hairline, making it look unnatural. I’m not sure why this approach was taken, and it completely ruined the natural look of my hairline. 2. Communication Problems: Once the transplant was done and I returned to Cancun, it became almost impossible to reach the translator. During the procedure, they told me they would implant on top of existing hairs because "weak follicles will die anyway, leaving gaps." I didn’t know at the time that this was the wrong approach. 3. Donor Area Management: They extracted 4,050 grafts from the donor area, likely to cover the areas fully. However, this led to overharvesting. 4. Pre-Procedure Information: The information provided by the company and the clinic wasn’t consistent. It’s crucial to do your own research about hair transplantation before the procedure. They don’t provide guidance on pre-procedure preparations, such as using multivitamins or gentle shampoos. If you ask for these services, the total cost might vary. 5. Post-Procedure Care: Post-procedure care is one of the most critical aspects, but getting answers to your questions is nearly impossible. They give you a single A4 paper with instructions and expect you to handle everything yourself. While they require you to send photos for the first 14 days, this doesn’t provide much value. The recovery process lasts beyond the first two weeks, and for the first two months, your scalp will be very sensitive. Limited medical support: If you need medical advice, they may assure you everything is fine, but it’s better to consult a dermatologist. 6. Hair Growth Results: After nearly a year, I’ve been using the most natural hair care products and even underwent PRP treatments to boost hair growth, but I haven’t seen significant improvement. Most of the transplanted hair didn’t survive. While the pre-transplant hairline was sparse, it looked more natural compared to the current artificial look. For the crown area, despite 2,000 grafts being implanted, there’s no visible difference in density. --- Summary of Results: I received 2,000 grafts for the hairline and 2,000 for the crown, which should have been sufficient for proper density, but the outcome was far from satisfactory. I estimate that only about 1,000–1,500 grafts survived. I paid around $3,500 for the procedure and an additional around $430 for PRP/mesotherapy on the same day. I requested a partial refund of $2,500, but they didn’t respond. --- Key Takeaways: 1. Company’s Responsibility: The company’s owner, Isa, does not take accountability. When I sent him photos and asked if he could see 4,000 grafts in the images, he chose to remain silent. 2. Warranty on Failed Results: They claim to offer a second procedure under warranty if the first one fails after 12 months. However, I don’t recommend accepting it. This feels like reheating a meal that was served cold initially—it’s still the same flawed service. 3. Advice to Others: Research thoroughly before undergoing a hair transplant. It’s a life-changing decision, and if you have mild hair loss or thinning, you may achieve better results with oral minoxidil, finasteride, saw palmetto, or similar treatments.

The communication with the points of contact was good. I was talking to negar before my arrival to Turkey and afterwards. Negar answered all my concerns.
