Dr Keser's Hairtransplantation Clinic

Update: 6 months after my second procedure by Dr Keser, My hair looks similar to when I was in my 20s ( I turn 70 in September). Dr. Keser is the absolute best! After researching FUE Docs in South Florida and the U.S., I am planning to travel from Miami to Ankara for a second, minor "touchup" with the one and only Dr. Muttalip Keser. This is not about price, and certainly not convenience. Dr. Keser transplants a minimal amount of units, artistically placed, with a maximum rate of successful units transplanted.

Here is my honest review of my experience with Dr Keser's team General Atmosphere Dr Keser met me with a kind smile and a fatherly aura. I was instantly relieved to be in the presence of his sincerity and modest mood. The clinic atmosphere is like a little family where you can feel at home. Keser himself is always relaxed and has a generous and kind temperament, making you feel at ease before/after surgery. This kind environment is very difficult to nurture in a high stress world like plastic surgery and in no way do you feel like a number during the entire experience. This is very important for foreigners who are new to Ankara and want to feel safe. The surgery itself is divided in two sections : Extraction and Implantation. Extraction The duration is around 1 hour and Keser extracts 500-600 grafts. You are face down on your stomach with your forehead against a pillow. Keser will coordinate with his assistant to extract manually one by one the grafts and if you speak turkish you can hear them counting. The most difficult aspect is the first 5min of anesthetic injections which hurts like hell. Implantation Duration is around 2 hours where the grafts extracted are implanted after a 30min break. The graft survival is a lot higher in that way because you are extracting and implanting the same amount of hair in the same day. Again the anaestesia is by far the worst part. After its done you can plug in earphones and listen to your favorite podcast, you will barely feel a thing and Keser will lightly move your head around while he works on you. Dr keser is very mindful of not wasting any grafts and he extracts just enough for your goal, not more or less for those worrying about overharvesting and those with low donor reserves. For example, in case you need more, he will do an additional micro session of extraction and implantation at the end. Post Op One of the best post-op perk is the practice of a head bandage you will wear at all times outside the clinic. It protects the grafts and is soaked with medecine for you to recover in between days. Keser is not a proponent of incessant saline spray shots which can get really tedious for patients during the recovery. You will instead receive a cream that hydrates, cleanse the grafts and soften scabs over time.

Dr. Keser is one of the best in the world. I traveled a great distance to get my hair transplant from him and had a great experience. You can tell he loves his work and is a true artist when it comes to providing a perfect head of hair. He has a deep knowledge in this profession which shows in his patient care. His staff - Sanam, Funda and Fatih are amazing and complement his practice perfectly. Highly recommend!
